Ingredients

  • 10 slices of brioche or challah bread, cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Soak the bread cubes in the egg mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
  4. Transfer the soaked bread to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with maple syrup and fresh berries, if desired.

Notes

For the best results, use day-old bread and consider letting the casserole sit overnight in the refrigerator before baking.
