Delightful crispy treats filled with a creamy goodness, perfect for a special breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of French or sandwich bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Trim the crusts off the bread slices to make rolling easier.
  2. Flatten the slices slightly with a rolling pin.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture on one edge of each slice.
  4. Roll the bread tightly, ensuring the filling stays inside.
  5. Dip each roll into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Cook in a hot skillet with butter until golden brown, turning occasionally.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
