Ingredients

  • 1 prime rib roast (5-7 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Mix the softened butter with minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the garlic butter mixture all over the prime rib roast.
  4. Place the roast in a roasting pan and set it in the oven.
