A fresh and satisfying salad combining grilled steak, vibrant greens, and a tangy balsamic dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or your choice)
  • 2 cups arugula or spinach
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (like oregano or basil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak in balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and herbs for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grill the steak over medium-high heat for 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  3. Mix the arugula, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber in a large bowl.
  4. Let the steak rest for a few minutes, then slice against the grain.
  5. Serve the sliced steak on top of the salad and drizzle with leftover marinade.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute steak with grilled portobello mushrooms or marinated tofu. Consider adding grilled asparagus or nuts for extra texture.
