Indulge in light, fluffy fritters with a tropical twist. Perfect for brunch or as a sweet snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Whisk in egg and milk until smooth.
  3. Fold in chopped pineapple until evenly distributed.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan until shimmering.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd.
  6. Fry for 3–4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute regular flour with gluten-free flour or almond flour.
