Delightful lemon brownies, or ‘lemonies,’ combine fudgy brownie richness with zesty lemon flavor, perfect for spring gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  2. Combine the melted butter with sugar and eggs, whisking until frothy.
  3. Integrate the freshly squeezed lemon juice and zest into the mixture.
  4. Fold in the flour and salt until well mixed.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden and the edges pull away from the pan.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes
