Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your cupcake tin with liners.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Fold in the dry ingredients in batches, alternating with milk until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into prepared liners, filling them about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let them cool completely before decorating.
