A classic peach pie filled with sweet, juicy peaches and a flaky crust, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp flour (for thickening)
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (for crust)
  • 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup ice water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the peaches by peeling, pitting, and slicing them into wedges.
  3. Toss the peaches with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and flour.
  4. Roll out half of the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  5. Layer the peach mixture into the bottom crust.
  6. Top with the second layer of crust, sealing the edges, and make slits for steam to escape.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes, until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let the pie cool before serving.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence.
