Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Food coloring (pink)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla to the mixture, combining well.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Pour the batter evenly into greased cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cakes in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Frost with pink and white cream cheese frosting after cooling.
