A delightful and aromatic dish featuring tender chicken in a rich and buttery tomato sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chicken, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp coriander
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in yogurt and spices for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken until golden brown.
  3. Remove the chicken and sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
  4. Add the spices and toast briefly.
  5. Stir in tomatoes and cream and simmer until thickened.
  6. Reintroduce the chicken and cook gently to combine flavors.
  7. Serve over basmati rice or with naan, garnished with cilantro.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add fresh chilies. Substitute chicken with paneer for a vegetarian version or legumes for a plant-based option.
