Samoa Pie captures the essence of the beloved cookie, transforming it into a luscious dessert with a buttery crust, rich coconut filling, and a drizzle of chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Optional: toasted coconut for garnish
  • Optional: sea salt for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust by pre-baking it until golden brown.
  3. Mix the shredded coconut with the sweetened condensed milk until well combined.
  4. Pour the coconut mixture into the pre-baked crust.
  5. Allow the pie to set slightly at room temperature.
  6. Melt the chocolate chips with the butter until smooth, either in a microwave or double boiler.
  7. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of the pie.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  9. Garnish with toasted coconut and sea salt if desired.
