Delicious and easy-to-make Savory Breakfast Rolls, perfect for breakfast or brunch, filled with your favorite savory ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Optional fillings: cheese, herbs, sautéed vegetables

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast in warm water with sugar for about 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a large bowl, then add the yeast mixture and melted butter.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Roll the dough out and spread your savory filling evenly.
  6. Cut the dough into sections and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Allow the rolls to rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Use a warm but not hot water temperature for the yeast. Feel free to customize with different fillings.
