Creamy and tangy Southern Deviled Eggs, perfect for picnics and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil.
  2. Add the eggs and cook for 9-12 minutes.
  3. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool completely.
  4. Peel the cooled eggs and slice them in half.
  5. Remove the yolks and combine with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pipe or spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  7. Garnish with paprika and chives before serving.

Notes

For easy peeling, consider adding a pinch of baking soda to the boiling water.
