A delightful dessert featuring a buttery crust, silky honey custard, and fresh strawberries, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup butter, cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blend the flour, cold butter, and sugar until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the mixture into a tart pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Remove and let cool.
  5. Whisk together eggs, honey, and milk until smooth to make the custard.
  6. Fold in the sliced strawberries.
  7. Pour the custard mixture into the cooled tart crust.
  8. Bake again for 25-30 minutes or until the custard is set and golden.
  9. Cool completely before serving, then slice and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute milk with coconut milk and honey with agave syrup. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to a month.
