A delightful fusion of flavors, this Vietnamese Grilled Chicken is marinated for juicy, tender meat with a slightly smoky aroma and a blend of spices and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro, green onions) for garnish
  • Jasmine rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add the chicken, coating it evenly, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the grill or grill pan to high temperature.
  4. Place the marinated chicken on the grill and cook until golden-brown, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  5. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F before serving.
  6. Serve with jasmine rice and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

Allow the chicken to rest post-grilling to retain juices. Adjust the marinade to suit your taste.
